About Alex:

I am a professional science (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) and Maths teacher and have been diagnosed with ADHD. I recognise the challenges that I faced at school with my condition and have taken my first-hand experience through the schooling system and built a program that supports students in need.

I have a first-class degree in Chemistry, a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry and over 14 years of experience tutoring GCSE (and equivalent), A-level (and equivalent), university level, entrance exams, and people doing adult exams

ADHD Tutoring

Initial call is free, regular sessions are £100 per hour

As well as subject support, I help with:
- Revision schedules
- Regular planning meetings
- Advice on working strategies
- Provide a time and environment for motivated work

GCSE, A-levels, and equivalents
- All exam boards covered
- Homeschooling, including extra science lessons, extenuating circumstances, and resits
- Student coaching including university selection advice and career discussions

Entrance exams
- University entrance exams
- Common entrance and exam-restricted school entrance tutoring

University level
- Taught high-level seminars, workshops, and practicals, including designing The University of Edinburgh organic chemistry practical experiments
- Assistance with essay writing and planning and university coursework
- Exam revision support
