Hi there! I’m Rich.

Quite a deep question isn’t it? Who are you? Why are you the way you are?

Understanding this for me has been a journey of several years really learning who I really am. Investigating my own neurodiversity has been a recent aspect of this. Working on myself has allowed me drop the mask and to become more authentically unapologetically me!

Someone that is calm, kind, empathetic, enjoys laughter, professional whilst warm and friendly. Someone that enjoys bringing playfulness to my coaching and life.

I’ve always cared about helping others live a healthier life having spent 20 years in general practice before I was ready for a new career and chose to leave in 2020. I’ve added more skills to my bow and now work as an ADHD coach and I love it! I love learning about neurodiversity both for myself and to help my clients.

I have a teenage child with ADHD and this was my gateway into discovering more about neurodiversity ( and my connection to it ). Since then I’ve felt a deeper understanding of myself, but also this sense I had found my tribe with ADHDers and knew this was who I wanted to work with to help them thrive.

Work Experience

I worked as general practitioner for 20 years dealing with the whole of the human experience! From fertility discussions, childbirth, infants all the way through to old age and ultimately death and then dealing with grief. I had the honour of working with people of all ages, genders, races, sexualities and backgrounds whilst hearing the most intimate and deepest challenges ( and joys! ) we face as people.

I’ve worked as an organic baker in an organic artisan bakery ( whilst also working as doctor… ). This taught me more about myself than I could ever have imagined.

I initially gained my coaching qualifications as a transformational life coach as I wanted to help people make deep and lasting changes.

Finally I have taken on further training to deepen my learning of how the ADHD mind works and how that can be utilised to help ADHDers move from surviving to thriving.

Interests

Cinema - I love watching movies in the cinema to get the full sensory experience and have an ever growing collection at home. I love nothing more than a deep dive into how my favourite movies were made and hidden easter eggs in each movie.

Coffee - I love trying different types, learning how to improve my coffee making and finding new places that care about their coffee.

Music - Has been a passion of mine since a teenager and I love deep dives into my favourite artists, learning how albums were made and even tinkering with playing some instruments myself. I have an extensive music collection and invested in quality audio equipment over the years so I can enjoy music in all it’s richness.
