Laura Wates is a neurodivergent psychotherapist with a strong specialism in ADHD and broader neurodivergence. She combines lived experience with professional training, holding a Level 7 Post Graduate Certificate in ADHD and a CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Her work is grounded in relational, trauma-informed practice, using an integrative approach that draws from Psychodynamic Theory, Transpersonal, Humanistic Theory, CBT, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, breath work, and more. Laura is a registered member of the BACP (MBACP) and MNCPS (Accred) and continues to engage in ongoing CPD. Her practice is especially well-suited to those navigating what ADHD means to them, how it impacts relationships, communication styles, patterns and ways of being, executive function challenges, emotional dysregulation, and burnout.

Session Details

Format: 50-minute therapy sessions online (in-person available from Autumn 2025 in Twickenham).

Approach: Integrative, relational, and trauma-informed.

Emotional regulation, RSD, and overwhelm

A free 15-minute consultation is available to explore fit and approach.
Standard rate: £75 per 50-minute session
Sliding scale: Limited concession spaces available
Funding: Access to Work referrals accepted
Insurance: Works with Cigna

Availability:

Core hours: Weekdays between 10am and 3pm
Evenings: Occasionally available, but usually fully booked
In-person: Offered in St Margarets (TW1) from Autumn 2025
