Description

About Vanessa:

I am a Coaching Psychologist and mentor working with adults who have ADHD and those that suspect they have ADHD. I also work with parents and carers of children with ADHD.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology and an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health. I am a certified coach in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching and Stress Management Coaching. I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and an affiliate member of the International Society of Coaching Psychology.

I have spent 16 years learning and gathering knowledge around ADHD and Autism as I have a personal vested interest in this field. I have been blessed in the opportunities to work with a broad range of individuals who empower and inspire me to learn more so that I can share more. My aim is to help more newly diagnosed adults understand their conditions from a brain science perspective and to assist them in rediscovering their personal mastery and wellbeing. I work around rejection sensitivity, acceptance and self regulation. I believe that once the person has the right scaffolding in place within their environment, they will succeed. The tips and coping strategies I offer, help my clients navigate life, without shame and stigma and offers them an opportunity to examine the mastery their neurodivergence has to offer.

What a fantastic ADHD coach Vanessa is! I did trial sessions with over 10 other coaches before I chose to work with Vanessa. So many so-called ADHD coaches were clearly jumping on the bandwagon, with skills in coaching, but no real understaning of ADHD and comorbid conditions – Vanessa is the real deal!

It was obvious straight away, that she knew what she was talking about, wasn’t spouting any bullsh*t and understood which tried and tested methods were going to work for me, and which weren’t.

She started the whole process by inviting my partner along to session #1 to ensure I had support on my journey,
something that made the critical difference to my progress.
She looked at me as a complete person of which ADHD and other ND traits are a part, and provided an holistic approach to the coaching, to support me as a person, alongside tactics to help improve my work.

Through my coaching, Vanessa always spoke with confidence and conviction, understanding that I wanted to know the science behind my behaviour, and then the science behind the support tactics being offered, what they were intended to tackle and why.

I am so completely grateful for all the effort she put in to supporting me and I’d wholeheartedly recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for an ADHD or ND coach.

  2. Gaby Lebovits

Before I started coaching, I felt angry, disillusioned and helpless as a result of my ADHD diagnosis. What I really valued about my time with Vanessa is her intuitive approach to be authentic, honest and work at my pace.

The first few sessions taught me about the neurological side of ADHD and the impact it has on people’s lives, which helped to put it all in context. The middle block of sessions were a chance to explore my feelings of shame and learn techniques to live with my ADHD rather than fighting against it. The final sessions were an opportunity for accountability to work towards my life goals.

Since finishing coaching, I am feeling empowered and accepting of my ADHD. I have the language to understand myself and I am blaming myself far less in my day to day life. I feel better equipped to manage the demands of work and more confident to aim higher in my career, knowing I have the strategies to maintain healthy work habits.

I am so grateful to Vanessa for her patience, warmth and expertise.
