About Sarah:

I didn’t discover I had ADHD until 2020 (having two children diagnosed with ADHD was my big clue!) By then I’d developed quite a few strategies for managing both my memory & motivation challenges, working first as a neuro-physiotherapist, then looking after my three children (does anyone else find that just a little challenging with ADHD?!)

In 2014 I followed my long-held dream and began to use more of what I’d learned, as I started a new career as a professional organiser – supporting others to get more organised. (I’m proud to be a verified member of APDO – the professional body for PO’s in the UK).

Right from the start I focused on working with ADHD clients (diagnosed or not). The more I worked with my clients, the more it became clear that MY solutions weren’t necessarily right for my clients. So I began to work more collaboratively with clients, working alongside them to help them find their ‘me-shaped’ solutions, rather than telling them what they ‘should’ do to be organised. Let’s face it, most of us don’t like being told what to do… 😉

I also began to dip into the world of Positive Psychology (the science behind what makes us happy) as well as immersing myself in reading. Training as an ICF accredited coach with Animas was the natural next step, helping me to work more deeply with clients using coaching skills, allowing them to see things from a different perspective and identify any ‘blockers’ which habitually get in the way.

I often describe myself as a recovering perfectionist, aiming for ‘good enough’, having learned that it was better to be kind to myself than to win the “Perfectly Organised 2022 award” (no, there’s no such thing, thank goodness!)

My own home is cosy and organised, but is neither perfectly tidy, nor minimalist.

I love art, my garden, baking sourdough and dancing. My current challenges are managing my Netflix addiction and learning Norwegian. Friends describe me as calm, determined and passionate – they know I wear my heart on my sleeve.
